HIGHLIGHTS FOR 2012

We are grateful to numerous individuals and businesses who contributed to raise the profile of our important research during 2012. In addition, the generosity of businesses and enthusiasm of members of the research team helped to raise vital funds through donations and participation in the City2Surf and the Sydney Running Festival. Schools also co-operated in promoting our research. We are particularly grateful to students from Kambala and Ravenswood who committed to supporting our research as part of the charity component of the Duke of Edinburgh program.

Our PRaMM running team “Bring it on Baby” battled the elements on a cold, wet day at the City2Surf raising over $13,000. All runners said that despite the weather, the experience was great and that they particularly enjoyed the added component of raising funds for research. It was a glorious Spring day for the Sydney Running Festival. Described as “Australia’s most scenic course”, it was a perfect opportunity for families to enjoy together. The runners raised over $12,000.

We are very grateful to Drs Michelle Chen and Steven Tan who on two consecutive years donated first prize in the PRaMM raffle of 5 night’s accommodation at Pearl Beach. All of the other generous donors are listed below with the names of the prize winners. Nearly $3,000 was raised through the PRaMM raffle.
